SMU senior Jessie Henderson has 2,881 career kickoff return yards and needs just 42 against Southern Miss on Nov. 29 to break the NCAA record of 2,922 set by Jeff Liggon of Tulane from 1993-96.

"I think it will be a good accomplishment if I can get it done, which I will get it done," Henderson told the Dallas Morning News.

Considering the frequency with which the Mustangs (1-10, 0-7 C-USA) give up points these days, he should have plenty of chances to make history on the Hilltop against the Golden Eagles.

There aren't many other interesting storylines to follow for the Mustangs, who have lost nine straight games and are 0-10 against Division I-A opponents during their first season under head coach June Jones.
